Well, it’s been an exciting year! Even though we took a huge loss in last May as far as dropping units, we still finished
the year strong. We were only 2 units down and even with this we still finished the year ahead in kids. Awesome ending!
This year we stand to go into the fall
recruitment ahead… which is great!
Things continue to move forward. We have
a new District Chairman, Rick Kasberg and a new District Commissioner, George Richter.. Rick is an engineer here in Temple
and is really excited about the challenges ahead. We’ve added quite a few
people to the district committee. We are around 28-30 in number.
One thing we definitely need as we head
into the new year is more unit commissioners. Please consider helping out with this effort. As a unit commissioner, your job
is just to stay in contact with the units you’re assigned to and help trouble shoot if any problems come up.
A very big immediate need is help at day
camp. We’re planning on 70-75 kids so we are in need of adult supervision for them. This is a great opportunity to get
these Cubs fired up about Scouting but we need your help to make it happen.
Once again, it been a great year…
but next year stand to be even better!
Thanks for all your help.
